Add a little color, add a little style. Pashmina shawls and pashmina scarves make it easy to dress warmly and still look good. With scarves becoming more popular in the United States, pashmina shawls are a good addition to any wardrobe. Pashmina scarves can be worn in a number of different ways, so each person can celebrate his or her individuality while sporting a beautiful and comfortable piece of fashion.

Pashmina is made in both Kashmir and Nepal, though the fabric is newer to Nepal. Pashmina is basically another word for cashmere, and Kashmir pashmina is the earliest form of cashmere dating back to about 3000 B.C . Mountain goats in these areas grow a very fine fur that is meant to keep them warm during the harsh climates. These hairs are too fine to be woven together by machine, so pashmina scarves and pashmina shawls are entirely handwoven. Sometimes, the cloth feels a bit rough, so it is made so that the pashmina shawls will feel softer and silkier.

Though fairly new to the United States, pashmina shawls were popular in royal families throughout history - France loved them then, and loves them still today. Marie Antoinette adorned Versailles with the rich fabric, and Napoleon offered it to his Josephine. Today, pashmina scarves are worn by most French men and French women during all times of year, with a multitude of twists and ties.

Black is the color of style, class, and sophistication, and black pashmina is no exception. Pashmina shawls come in every color imaginable, and make every outfit more noticeable. Pink pashmina scarves are another option, adding a nice touch of color to an outfit that might be bland without it. Faux pashmina shawls and scarves are also available. They are acrylic and easier to care for than regular pahsmina shawls and scarves.

Pashmina scarves can be used as a simple fashion accessory and as a way to keep the neck warm. Pashmina shawls offer the perfect solution to cold weather, while during the spring or summer, pashmina scarves off the perfect touch to any outfit. The trick is to find a way to wear the scarf so that it's both warm and fashionable. One way is to wear it like a simple necktie - for men and women, and it can be worn either loose or normally.

Pashmina shawls are as easy to wear as the scarves and are ideal for numerous occasions. A bride may use black or pink pashmina shawls as an accent for her bridesmaids, and it can be easy to bring one to the prom for the post prom party. They can wrap around the body to tie in the center, loosely around the shoulders, or wrapped around to tie at the side. Pashmina shawls are an excellent way to dress up a casual outfit if there's not time to change on the way to a date, or make a stunning outfit even more beautiful.

Though pashmina scarves look simplistic, they are really very elegant. It is easy to manipulate the fabric to accentuate any outfit, so simple pink pashmina shawls or black pashmina scarves can turn something mundane into something extraordinary. Though they were initially quite expensive, pashmina scarves and shawls now cost only $45 to $125, depending on where they're purchased. The good news? They‘re available anywhere scarves are sold. Faux pashmina shawls are also easily available, and only cost about $20.

Pashmina shawls and scarves are slowly becoming more popular in the United States, and they are already celebrated in the rest of the world. It's easy to understand why pashmina's delicate fabric is used in so many things, and adapt it for the individual style. Purchasing accessories that can be used in multiple ways can be difficult, but purchasing pashmina shawls or scarves eliminates that problem.
